The Eco Council spent their first meeting completing a very important bin audit.
We wanted to audit how we manage waste in school. Here are some things we discovered
- We found a HUGE 4 kilos of food waste
- Lots of food was found in the grey general waste bins.
- An enormous amount of paper waste - some pages with hardly any writing on!
We will be working over the next term to improve our school, starting with what we throw away, where and also why.
Can’t wait to share our suggestions and keep our school as eco friendly and minimally wasteful as we can.
